The Flying Banana plans grand opening in Middleboro

Mark your calendars for October. That’s when The Flying Banana is hoping to hold a grand opening for their first physical location, at 54 Center St. in Middleboro. They specialize in gourmet desserts, including frozen bananas, cheesecake, chocolate treats, caramel apples, and soft serve ice cream. They’re in the process of finalizing their new menu, and will be announcing new desserts in the coming weeks. Follow on Facebook for the latest updates as they work on opening their new space.

Try daily specials at Hometown’s Tacos Locos

Have you tried the daily specials yet at Hometown’s Tacos Locos? They’re always cooking up something new at 264 Broadway, Taunton. Recent specials have included their carne asada tacos, and some Portuguese fusion, with chicken Mozambique crispy tacos, as well as chicken Mozambique grilled cheese, with their homemade chipotle sauce. Pumpkin pie Quinny at Society Coffee Bar

We’re almost, almost officially entering the fall season, but just because autumn hasn’t officially arrived, that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the flavors of the season. Society Coffee Bar, 260 Broadway, Taunton, is looking ahead to crisper days and crunchy leaves. They’ve taken their popular Quinny, and kicked it up an autumnal notch, with the Pumpkin Pie Quinny. For some extra sweetness, you can get it with vanilla cold foam.

Autumn cocktails at Charred Oak Tavern

They’re also feeling the autumn vibes over in Middleboro. The Charred Oak Tavern, 57 Center St., has started offering its autumn cocktails menu. They’ve got quite a few concoctions brewed up for fall, including: The Blacksmith, with Smithwicks Red Ale, topped with Guinness stout; a Canadian maple old fashioned, with Canadian Club, muddled orange and cherry, bitters, and maple syrup; and The Great Pumpkin martini, with Rumchata, Fulton’s Harvest Pumpkin Pie Liqueur, and Absolut vanilla, rimmed with house-made butterscotch and cinnamon sugar.

Fall margaritas at Buddy’s Pizza Pub

Buddy’s Pizza Pub, 547 W. Grove St., Middleboro, is also offering fall-inspired drinks. They host margarita flight nights on Thursdays, and they recently added fall flavors to the flight. You can try cranberry, pumpkin, or cider.
