An Atlanta-based breakfast and southern food chain, The Flying Biscuit Café, is opening its Columbus location at Highside Market on Dec. 26.
Franchise owners Jason and Ariel Esteves became fans of the restaurant after moving to Atlanta in 2007, he told the Ledger-Enquirer, and even had The Flying Biscuit cater their wedding.
The restaurant will occupy a 3,000 square foot space in Highside Market at 211 13th St.
“We are excited and proud to bring delicious food and a brand like The Flying Biscuit Café to my hometown,” Esteves said in a press release.
Grand opening specials will be offered throughout the first week of opening, according to a news release. These include:
$1 Flying Biscuit Breakfast on Dec. 26
$5 High Flyer Breakfast on Dec. 27
$5 Egg-Stravaganza Breakfast on Dec. 28
$5 Shrimp and Grits Entrée on Dec. 29
First 100 customers receive a free Flying Biscuit t-shirt on Jan. 1
First 100 customers receive a free Flying Biscuit travel mug on Jan. 2
The Flying Biscuit will be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Customers can find more information about catering online.
Highside Market held its grand opening Holiday Bazaar on Dec. 14. Most of the development’s businesses are now open, with others like It’s Tamale Time and Dragonfly Toys and Gifts to open in the coming weeks.
Esteves looks forward to The Flying Biscuit opening just after a major holiday.
“The family-friendly atmosphere and amazing menu will be a late Christmas present that will be enjoyed year-round by people in the city,” he said in the news release.
