Foley BBQ & Blues Festival returns to Heritage Park for the 16th year

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — The Foley BBQ & Blues Festival is coming back to Foley for the 16th year, according to event organizers.

Hosted by the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation, the Foley BBQ & Blues Festival is scheduled for March 8 and 9, 2024 at Heritage Park in downtown Foley. This two-day event features a Friday night concert and a Saturday Cook-Off.

Friday Night Concert: The first day of the festival features the Friday night Concert, scheduled from 5-9 p.m. Attendees can enjoy live music from local artists. Food and beverages are available to purchase at the event.

A $10 entry ticket is required, and they are available for purchase on-site.

Saturday Cook-Off: Day two of the festival — Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — features the “main event”: the cook-off. A $10 ticket is required for entry to this event, and tickets will be available to purchase on-site.

Presented by RiverView Turf and Sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society, the cook-off introduces 30 backyard division cook teams from along the Gulf Coast. The teams are set to compete for the Grand Championship title and other prizes.

During the cook-off, attendees can browse merchandise at various vendors, and purchase food and beverages from food trucks. A kids’ zone will also be available, making for a family-friendly day. Foley High School Bands, the Three 57s, and the Defrosters will also be performing Live.

Awards from the cook-off will be presented at 4 p.m.


According to event organizers, students from 14 schools in South Baldwin County entered to design the official festival t-shirt. The 2024 winner, Foley High School Student Kris Navas- Fuentes will have her design available for purchase at the merchandising tent.
