A Fond du Lac man was seriously injured after an accidental shooting Friday night

FOND DU LAC – A 21-year-old Fond du Lac man was seriously injured Friday night after police say he accidentally shot himself in the leg.

Officers were dispatched to a Mobil gas station at 362 N. Peters Ave. around 10:08 p.m., according to the City of Fond du Lac Police Department, for a report of the shooting.

Upon arrival, police began life saving measures until Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue paramedics arrived to take over and transport the man to a hospital.

The man is in serious but stable condition, police said Saturday morning.
