Food bank to hold fundraiser Feb. 9 in Yuba City

Jan. 18—The Yuba-Sutter Food Bank will be holding its "signature fundraiser" on Feb. 9 in its continued fight against food insecurity in the area, organizers said.

Set to take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the food bank, located at 760 Stafford Way in Yuba City, the event will feature a spaghetti dinner by Recology with handcrafted meatballs prepared by The French Whisk. Dubbed "An Evening at the Food Bank," the event also will include a live dessert auction and entertainment by Joe Moye.

According to organizers, the fundraiser will allow the nonprofit to "stock shelves for our vulnerable community members" in Yuba and Sutter counties.

"A special thanks to the many partners of the Yuba-Sutter Food Bank that are helping to make the event possible through sponsorships, donations, and, of course, by community members attending and supporting us," organizers said.

Dinner tickets are $60 each with tables available for $1,000 or $2,000. Organizers said all seating for the event is reserved with tickets currently available online.

"When it comes to wine and spirits for the evening, you can buy them on-site at the no-host bar provided by the Marysville Kiwanis Club," organizers said.
