Food blogger’s 'Korean dosa' fusion dish unites internet commenters in common disgust

An Indian food blogger’s attempt at fusing South Indian dosa and Korean ramen noodles has repulsed many of her viewers.

Anjali Dhingra, a popular content creator with over 1.6 million subscribers on her YouTube channel, So Saute, stirred up the internet with a video titled “Korean Dosa Recipe.”

In the clip, Dhingra prepares her unusual food combo by spreading dosa batter on a frying pan. She then cooks a packet of Shin Ramyun noodles and places it in a bowl.

After mixing in the flavor packets, she adds the noodles to the dosa, adds a slice of cheese and wraps them like a taco.

She wraps the video up by taking a bite of the “dosa ramen taco” and telling her viewers to try the unique dish for themselves.

On YouTube, where it was initially posted last month, the video has generated over 1.8 million views so far. On Instagram, where it was only reposted on Sunday, it has already racked up over 150,000 views.

On both platforms, commenters appear to be equally disgusted by the dish.

“What's wrong with this girl?” an Instagram commenter wrote. “It's a hell-no combination.”

“I literally used to like all ur videos ..but this nooooooo,” wrote another.

“Girl, you are you okay?” asked a YouTube commenter. “I mean wtf Dosa and Ramen together huhh kuchh bhii.”

“That's totally disturbing,” another wrote.

Experimenting with dishes for content is nothing new to Dhingra, who has also combined Cheetos with instant noodles, made pizza out of noodles and used noodles in place of a burger patty in past videos.
