Food Delivery Workers Protest for a Second Day in Athens

Food delivery workers on September 24 took to the streets of Athens, Greece, for the second time in a week to protest their working conditions, amid a backlash against the delivery company Efood.

On September 15, the company sent a text message to 115 employees, local media said, saying there was no possibility of renewing existing contracts unless they became freelancers, sparking a protest on September 22.

Efood first said the message was a “miscommunication,” then announced they were signing an indefinite contract with 2,016 employees.
