Food Fight Leads To Felony Evading Arrest For Houston Woman

HOUSTON, TX — A woman who led police on a slow-speed chase after she and several other woman took part in a food fight at a downtown Houston eatery, has been charged with felony evading. Police said Aleice Allen, 31, nearly hit a police officer as she fled from a sushi bar in the 6300 Westheimer Road Wednesday night.

Police were called to the restaurant at about 9:30 p.m. about a report of three angry women fighting, and throwing sushi and water at each other. When police pulled into the parking lot, they found the women fighting and throwing food.

One of the women, identified as Allen, decided to leave and jumped in her car, and nearly ran over a Houston Police officer as she drove away from the restaurant.

The officer was able to dodge the car, which then sparked a slow speed pursuit that meandered for more than 10 miles to a home at Pinemont Street and Ella Blvd.

Police said Allen pulled into her driveway but refused to get out of her car, and sat in her car for about 10 minutes talking on her cellphone. Police said Allen ignored the officer's commands to get out.

Officers eventually surrounded Allen's car and used a tool to punch out the glass and forcibly remove her, and take her into custody.

Her bond is set at $5,000.
