Food, fun and fellowship at the fair - here are everyone's favorites

MILLERSBURG — With so many things to see and do, from viewing the home arts displays, to going on the rides, savoring the wide variety of foods to showing and seeing the animals, it's hard to pinpoint a favorite activity. A random collection of visitors to the Holmes County Fair shared some of the things they like the best about the fair, which runs through Saturday.

"What's not to love," said Lisa Lang of Lakeville. "I like it all. You've got food, fun and fellowship. I love seeing the 4-H and FFA kids and their exhibits. And this lovely air conditioned, enclosed commercial exhibit area is so great. I remember the good old days of the tents and tripping over the stakes and falling in the mud."

"I like to see the kids showing the animals. I think that's really cool to see all their hard work. That's the best part for me," said Kayley Cox of Wooster. "But, I also like the food, of course."

"I like the connection we have with all the veterans coming through here," said John Lovelady of Millersburg. "It's a wonderful opportunity to visit with the veterans. There are a lot of Vietnam veterans coming in, and there's a map here that let's them point out where they were based while over there.
