‘Foosapalooza’ tournament comes to Missouri History Museum
ST. LOUIS – The Missouri History Museum’s grand hall is getting a new look this weekend.
‘Foosapalooza’ is taking over the museum’s grand entry way, with 15 foosball tables and professional players from the region and around the world.
“It’s such a beautiful established museum,” Shane Darby with Foosball United said.
Darby, a pro player, said while the city may be known for its soccer, there’s also a deep history of foosball.
“Foosball is great,” Darby said. “Here in St. Louis, we have a long history going back to the 70s.”

‘Foosapalooza’ is a weekend-long foosball tournament meant to bring more eyes to the museum’s Soccer City exhibit.
“(In) winter time, we can’t do a lot outside,” Lindsay Newton with the Missouri History Museum said. “So, we wanted to bring people inside that’s fun and active.”
The Soccer City exhibit is only open until Feb. 18.
You can register for the tournament online through the Missouri History museums website or if there’s enough space, sign-ups are available on the spot.
Darby wants the weekend-long event to introduce St. Louisans to foosball.
“A successful weekend would be to have fresh eyes on this sport,” Darby said.
