Footage Shows Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport Nearly Vacant Amid Travel Restrictions

Footage posted to social media on March 18 showed Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport nearly devoid of travelers, with only a handful of people peppered throughout the vast facility.

Twitter user Matt Collins, who filmed the footage, posted it with the hashtag #ghosttown.

According to the airport’s website, as of March 18, multiple parking lots surrounding the airport were temporarily closed, Earth Day celebrations set for April 22 and 23 had been canceled, and several locations within the passenger terminals had also been shuttered, including an American Airlines Admirals Club, in response to the US’s COVID-19 lockdowns.
