Fremont Ross begins play in the Three Rivers Athletic Conference with a trip to Oregon Clay.

Not surprising, the Little Giants are unbeaten after three games. More surprising, also unbeaten Clay trails Ross in points scored by only nine at 131.

Gibsonburg kicks off its Sandusky Bay Conference River Division schedule with a visit from Tiffin Calvert. Status as league contenders and/or Calvert coach Steve Reser switching sidelines has created a legitimate rivalry, although last year was lopsided in the Golden Bears' favor.

Woodmore starts play in the Northern Buckeye Conference after snapping an 11-game losing skid with a 7-0 victory over St. Joseph Central Catholic in overtime last week. The Wildcats are host to Eastwood.

Lakota visits defending champ Hopewell-Loudon in the SBC River Division.

Bellevue has an emotional date at Edison. It remembers suffering the Chargers first-round win 23-22 as a top seed last year.

Edison lost to Bellevue in Week 2 during the regular season.

Ross is joined in a matchup of unbeatens as Ottawa Hills visits Margaretta. Gary Quisno's tenure as coach couldn't have started any better.

Genoa is host to Rossford in the NBC.
