Football: APT carrying all the Super 7 games

Nov. 30—Alabama Public Television is broadcasting all Super 7 Championship games starting Wednesday with the Flag Football championship at 2 p.m.

This is the first time for APT to broadcast any of the Alabama High School Athletic Association state championship games. Previously the games have been broadcast on a network of stations across the state.

The APT coverage means all games can be viewed anywhere in the state.

"This is an opportunity we've been interested in for many years," said APT's interim executive director, Phil Hutcheson. "Several other public television stations carry their state's championship games and they are very popular. Georgia Public Broadcasting has the highest ratings for public television in the country when they present their coverage."

APT will also carry the state high school basketball championships Feb. 27 — March 4.
