Football Fans Stretchered Out of SoFi Stadium Amid Slippery Conditions

Football fans attending a college playoff championship game at SoFi Stadium on Monday, January 9, were carried out on stretchers after heavy rain caused slippery conditions at the venue in Inglewood, California.

Video filmed by Arash Markazi shows people being stretchered away by medical personnel in the stadium on Monday evening.

“The floor is entirely too slippery tonight in the rain. Multiple people are slipping and falling and having to be helped out on stretchers,” Markazi said in the post.

The game, between the University of Georgia Bulldogs and the Texas Christian University (TCU) Horned Frogs, resulted in victory for the Bulldogs, who won 65-7 to finish undefeated and became national champions.

Additional rainfall was forecasted in the area on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. Credit: Arash Markazi via Storyful
