Football roundup: Tony Drewnowski, Justin Coiteux star as New Paltz stuns Marlboro

Tony Drewnowski completed 13 of 19 passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns, leading the New Paltz football team in a 20-14 upset of visiting Marlboro on Friday.

This was the Huguenots' first win over Marlboro since the 2016 Section 9 Class B final.

Drewnowski also ran for 56 yards and had four tackles and an interception for New Paltz (1-2). Nick Horowitz had five catches for 65 yards and two touchdowns.

Justin Coiteux returned the opening kickoff 90 yards for a score and added 85 rushing yards. Mike O'Dell had four receptions for 44 yards and made five tackles. Aidan Reynolds also had five tackles.

Dover 35, Ellenville 32 ― Justin Hanze ran for 155 yards and four touchdowns to lead Dover. Jayson Vitola ran for 40 yards and a touchdown. Aiden Greene had a sack, forced two fumbles and recovered one. Danny Duncan made six tackles and forced a fumble, and Sean Barkley recovered a fumble.

Pine Plains 22, Livingston Manor/Roscoe 8 ― Sid Stracher ran for 172 yards and three touchdowns to lead Pine Plains (1-1). Livingston Manor/Roscoe (0-2). Jake Wolfmann had seven tackles and Liam Bower had two interceptions. Nick Scaffidi and Kaleb Chapman each had an interception for the Bombers.

Lourdes 49, Wallkill 7 ― John Matthew rushed for 150 yards and four first-half touchdowns to lead the Warriors (3-0). Matthew Krauza ran for 132 yards and two touchdowns and had an interception. Wallkill's Chris Bartolone threw a touchdown to Brandon Vesely.

Spackenkill 24, Tri-Valley 22: Host Spackenkill improved to 2-0 and Tri-Valley drops to 1-1.

Mamaroneck 35, John Jay-East Fishkill 21 ― Jason Cox threw two touchdowns and ran for another to lead Mamaroneck. Damari Hamilton ran for 136 yards and two touchdowns.

Mount Vernon 32, Ketcham 8 ― Jaiden Hamilton had 161 all-purpose yards and scored three touchdowns for Mount Vernon. Ketcham (0-2) visits Carmel at 7 p.m. Friday.

Walter Panas 42, Poughkeepsie 8 ― Rashaan Wise-Davis rushed for a touchdown for Poughkeepsie, but the Pioneers fell to 0-2. Panas' Travis Carlucci ran 125 yards and a touchdown, threw a touchdown pass and returned a punt for a score.

Valley Central 6, Beacon 0 ― Valley Central improved to 1-2. Beacon (0-2) faces Monroe-Woodbury at 1 p.m. Saturday.
