Football: Warriors earn all-league honors
Nov. 10—Eighty-five spots were available on the Coastal Range all-League football team this year, and 15 of those spots went to Warrenton players.
The majority of Warrenton starters made either the first team, second team or received an honorable mention, while league champion Banks — seeded fourth in the current state playoffs — had the most selections, with the Braves earning 13 spots on the first team alone.
Banks also featured Offensive Player of the Year Logan Kind, Defensive Player of the Year Daevon Vereen and Coach of the Year Cole Lineman. Lineman of the Year was Yamhill-Carlton's Kaden Raever.
Warrenton junior Tyler Burk was a first team offensive and defensive lineman, while the Warriors had two receivers, two running backs, three offensive and three defensive linemen, four linebackers and a placekicker earn all-league honors.
