Forbes 2022 World’s Billionaires list is out. Here are the richest people in Georgia.

If you added up all the wealth of today’s global billionaires, the total dollar amount would reflect $12.7 trillion.

According to Patch, “More than 1,000 billionaires are richer than they were a year ago. And more than 200 people became billionaires over the past year as ordinary Americans grapple with record gas prices and rising food costs at the grocery store.”

Out of 2,668 billionaires worldwide, 18 are from Georgia. The richest Georgia billionaire makes $8.6 billion.

So, who is the top billionaire in Georgia?

Bernard Marcus, co-founder of Home Depot, is the highest paid billionaire in the Peach State.
