Forbes ranks Mayo Clinic No. 3 best large employer

Feb. 17—It's not the first time Mayo Clinic has made Forbes' best large employer in America list, and based on this year's ranking, it won't be the last, either.

Mayo Clinic was ranked the No. 3 best large employer, behind Ultimate Kronos Group (an IT software and services company) at No. 2, and the University of Alabama, Birmingham at No. 1.

Out of the three employers, Mayo Clinic is the oldest and largest. It was founded in 1889, and employs a total of 65,000 people at its three campuses in Jacksonville, Fla.; Scottsdale, Ariz.; and its headquarters in Rochester.

Last year, Mayo Clinic was ranked No. 9 on the list.

In 2020, Mayo Clinic frequently appeared on several Forbes lists for categories such as Best Employers for New Grads; Women; and Diversity.
