Ford F-150 Lightning endures extreme cold testing in Alaska

Ford Motor Company engineers took 6 fully electric F-150 Lightning to the heart of Alaska. The trek to The Last Frontier state tested the vehicles against various types of winter surfaces ranging from loose snow to complete ice in -30° degree temperatures. The two weeks performance test wanted to build confidence for future buyers that the fully electric F-150 Lightning can tackle all-season. The extreme winter and cold testing were taken place at a restricted military base in Alaska. Ford F-150 Lightning's success is due to its all-electric powertrain and Built Ford Touch functionality.
