Ford rolls first 700 series in Abilene bowling leagues

On Dec. 19, Telitha Ford walked down the PrimeTime lanes where I was bowling and said to me, “I want you to know that I got my 700 series tonight.”

She was super excited.

I said to her that I would get her accomplishment in the bowling news and resumed bowling. I did not realize that her excitement was because this was her very first 700 series, which I learned the very next night.

I have known and bowled in leagues with Telitha since she was a young lady working at the former Whitewood Lanes. The way she rolls the bowling ball and the way she scores I just took it for granted that she had a 700 series in her resume and did not inquire about it.

Now that Telitha has cleared the 700 series hurdle, I know she is still looking forward to competing for the other U.S. Bowling Congress awards. Way to go Telitha and keep on bowling.
