Gadsden native Tommy Ford will sign copies of his new book, “History Made: The 2020 National Champion Alabama Crimson Tide,” from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Books-a-Million in the Gadsden Mall.

The retrospective of the Alabama Crimson Tide’s 2020 national championship season includes never-before-seen photos of the Tide's march to the title, including a look behind the scenes of both regular season and postseason victories.

It covers the COVID-19 shutdown and the unique regular season it spawned for players, coaches and fans; and the victories over Florida, Notre Dame and Ohio state that propelled the Tide to the national crown.

The book includes more than 150 color photos and a forward by All-America quarterback Mac Jones.

Ford, who worked for the University of Alabama’s athletic department for nearly four decades, has authored or co-written 12 books on Crimson Tide football.
