School Delays
Ashe County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Tuesday.
Avery County Schools will be on a three-hour delay on Tuesday.
Watauga County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Tuesday.
FORECAST:
There will be a Winter Weather Advisory for Avery, Ashe, and Watauga counties until 4 p.m.
Tonight will be clear with a low of around 30 degrees.
Tomorrow will be sunny with highs in the low-50s.
A major rainmaker will move into the region after that.
There is the threat of heavy rain and high winds on Wednesday.
Showers will develop early and continue throughout the day.
Thunderstorms are possible.
Starting Thursday, calm conditions return.
