FORECAST: Extreme heat expected to bring scattered storms

Wednesday was the hottest day of the week, with temperatures in the mid-90s and a heat index at or above 100 degrees.
Temperatures will hit the low 90s with a heat index around 97.
We’ll finally cool it off a little more tomorrow and into the weekend.
TRACKING THE TROPICS
Hurricane Lee has formed and continues to strengthen. Its track is still uncertain, with the system still in its early stages.
As of right now, the storm does not appear to affect any land, but it could get quite close to the east coast late next week.
