FORECAST:
Saturday is the start of a very wet weekend with rain coming in and out throughout the day.
The rain will be heavy at times Saturday, which could lead to some flooding concerns across the mountains and adjacent foothills.
The steadiest rain holds off until sunrise on Saturday and continues into the afternoon before tapering off. We could see up to 2 inches in some spots.
We are no longer expecting a washout, in fact Sunday is trending toward much drier weather.
Don’t expect storms, just rain. Sunday does have the chance for storms with the breaks in the clouds bringing back the chance for thunder.
There's a lot of events happening around the Queen City this weekend... and there's a chance rain may damper those weekend plans. I am timing out the showers hour by hour now on @wsoctv #ncwx #scwx pic.twitter.com/yrath8XK86
