Avery County Schools will operate on a two-hour on Friday.
FORECAST:
More rain is on the way Thursday night, mostly before 3 a.m.
The heaviest of the showers will be south of Charlotte.
It will be cloudy into Friday morning before the skies gradually clear up.
Highs on Friday will be 47.
Some clouds will linger through the weekend.
Highs on Saturday will be in the low-40s and on Sunday, in the low-50s.
Clear skies return next week.
