Forest Fire Breaks Out Near Tourist Town in West Turkey

A wildfire broke out in the port town of Marmaris, Turkey, on September 21.

The fire started in the Yalancıbogaz area of Marmaris, a popular tourist destination in the Mugla province.

The Turkish Ministry of Interior Disaster and Emergency Management (AFAD) said that 14 planes, 35 helicopters, and 982 personnel had been deployed to tackle the blaze.
