Forget your ex! Shred them into pieces at NYC bar for heartbroken this Valentine’s Day
Shed no tears this Valentine’s Day. Shred them instead.
Scorned lovers can savor the holiday this year by tearing mementos of their exes into pieces — just like their hearts once were torn apart.
Just get a $16.50 ticket to the pop-up Crushed Heartbreak Bar at The Pool Club at Virgin Hotels New York City in NoMad, where you can then write whatever you want about your former flame on an index card — and then put it through a shredder.
The bar closes on March 3.
Upon arrival, you’ll be poured a “Banish Your Ex” shot, which is served with a dropper, so your “ex’s tears” can be added to the glass of Belvedere vodka, apricot, and Pama liqueur.
The waitress will ask you to recite this mantra as your drink: “I banish you from harming me, now leave my life and let me be.”
Brooklynite Indy K.’s wounds were still fresh when she showed up at the bar on Thursday.
She had just split with her boyfriend of four years after she learned he was unfaithful — from the woman he was cheating with.
“I broke up with him because a girl called my phone 40 times looking for him,” the 34-year-old told The Post. “He was living with her.”
The note she shredded said “Muah sin barras” which means “You’re done” in Spanish.
Liliana Francisco, 45, of the Bronx was also there to rid herself of “a major cheater” she dated for four years.
“Cheating is the endgame for most relationships,” she warned. “But I’m ready to shred, ready to let that go.”
She recalled the red flags she ignored, which included him having “a lot of social media interaction with followers” and being “very friendly with females.”
The venue provides tissues while playing breakup-themed songs like “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus, “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor, Justin Timberlake’s “Cry Me a River,” and “Thank U, Next” by Ariana Grande.
Jenn D’Imperio, 36, of New Jersey, shredded a deejay she met through work and dated for nine months long distance — and penned “Don’t date a DJ” on the piece of paper she decimated.
“We were supposed to be going to my cousin’s wedding in California, I was a bridesmaid, he was coming to meet my entire family,” she recalled. “And five days before we were supposed to leave, he broke up with me through a text message and then blocked me.
“Moral of the story: don’t date a deejay.”
Thirty-six-year-old Christian Z. of Queens was hoping to move on from a colleague he dated — and shredded the words “F–k it, I tried.”
“A coworker, they never end well,” he warned.
Monica U. of Queens — who wore a heart-printed dress — was there to shred a man she met through mutual friends and dated for “a rough five years.”
“I’m a single parent, and he was never used to that,” the 32-year-old said before she shredded her note, which read “Young Love Sometimes Doesn’t Last.”
She gave him the boot a few years ago and has since moved on — as did he.
“I actually bumped into him a week ago. He has a wife and a kid,” she said. “It was so weird.”
