Former area hoopsters playing minor league basketball

The Lancaster Thunder of the Premier Basketball League defeated Dubois Dreams 106-73 Saturday evening.

Two former area high school basketball stars helped secure the win with their play on the court.

Cameron Miller of Sugarcreek, a 2016 graduate of Garaway High School and Braden Young of New Philadelphia, a 2016 Graduate of New Philadelphia High School helped the Thunder get their second win.

The Thunder was leading at half 41-38. A third quarter explosion had Thunder scoring 40 points and taking a 31-point lead into the fourth quarter.

Young played a great third quarter where he scored eight of his 12 points and played aggressive defense. Miller scored eight points and had a plethora of assists throughout the game that allowed his teammates to have easy baskets. JaeTuan Williams of Thunder led all scores with 35 points.

The Lancaster Thunder is a minor league basketball team based in Lancaster, Ohio.

The Thunder is a member of the Premier Basketball League (PBL) and the Professional Basketball Association (PBA).

The Thunder are 2-0 and stand in first place in the Eastern Division of the Premier Basketball league. The Thunder will host the Chicago Ballers of the Western Division on Saturday at 6 p.m, at Ohio University Branch in Lancaster.
