Hawaii running back Dae Dae Hunter, who led Chandler to the first Open Division state football title two years ago, has entered the transfer portal.

Hunter made the announcement Tuesday night on social media.

Hunter, 5-foot-10, 200 pounds, a sophomore, led Hawaii in rushing this season, rushing for 651 yards on 101 carries with three touchdowns.

He left Chandler as an All-Arizona performer and among the top players in the state, graduating in the same class at former Tucson Salpointe Catholic running back Bijan Robinson, who now stars at Texas.

In his only season at Chandler, he ran for 1,748 yards and 33 touchdowns, averaging 11.5 yards a carry in the Wolves' 13-0 season.
