Former 'Cheer' Star Jerry Harris Sentenced To 12 Years In Prison In Child Pornography Case

Jerry Harris was sentenced on Wednesday to 12 years in federal prison on charges involving child sexual abuse images. According to NBC News, his 12-year prison sentence will be followed by eight years of court-supervised release. The 22-year-old, who rose to fame on the Netflix docuseries "Cheer," was indicted on seven counts of receiving and attempting to receive child pornography and of persuading minors to engage in sexual contact from August 2017 to August 2020. The sentencing comes nearly five months after he pleaded guilty to two of the seven counts.
