Former Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech made his on-ice debut a memorable one, taking home Man of the Match honours after recording the game-winning save in the Guildford Phoenix’s win over the Swindon Wildcats.

The 37-year-old made a pair of shootout saves to secure a 3-2 victory for the Phoenix, who play in the United Kingdom’s National Ice Hockey League South 2.

Cech spent 15 years on the pitch in the Premier League in England, playing for Chelsea and Arsenal. He holds a number of records in the league for clean sheets, including most in a season (24), most in a career (202), and fewest games needed to reach 100 (180).

Here’s an educated guess that he leads all Premier League goalkeepers in wins as a hockey player, as well.
