MISHAWAKA — Demolition crews have begun to raze the former former Chi-Chi's restaurant, most recently doing business as Tequilas Jalisco, on Cleveland Road where it becomes Indiana 23 near Grape Road for a three-story self-storage business, with space for future development as a drive-thru restaurant. Centennial American Properties received approval for changes in its planned unit development in early 2022 for the $10 million development on the 2.25-acre property with a yet-to-be-determined drive-thru restaurant to be built on the land closest to Cleveland Road. No timetable for the facility was immediately known.
