John Tonje is headed to the SEC for his final college basketball season.

The former Colorado State basketball player announced his commitment to the Missouri basketball program on Monday.

The 6-foot-5 guard entered the transfer portal last week to play his fifth season of college at a new school after four seasons at CSU.

Tonje played four seasons at CSU but has the option to play a fifth COVID year as granted by the NCAA for players who were active during the 2020-21 season.

He was second at CSU in scoring this season at 14.6 points per game, which ranked 11th in the Mountain West.

Tonje was especially strong late in the season, averaging just shy of 18 points per game over CSU’s last 11 contests.

Tonje is a career 37% 3-point shooter, with that number rising to 39% as a senior.
