Former Colts defensive back Darius Butler to join 'NFL Matchup' on ESPN

Former Indianapolis Colts defensive back Darius Butler is joining ESPN.

The defensive back is joining the "NFL Matchup" show that airs Saturdays and Sundays starting Week 1. Longtime reporter Sal Paolantonio and analyst Greg Cosell will join Butler on the show that will be available on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN+.

"NFL Matchup" breaks down game film to offer detailed analysis of the NFL. It is often ESPN's first NFL show on Sundays.

Since leaving football, Butler has been a consistent media presence. He and another former Colts defensive back, Antoine Bethea, host the Man to Man Pod. Butler has also appeared on NFL Network, Fox Sports shows and Pat McAfee's show.

Butler, 36, played nine NFL seasons, the last six with the Colts (2012-17). He had 244 tackles, 12 interceptions (3 returned for touchdowns), 44 passes defended and 9 forced fumbles in Indianapolis. He was twice named AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
