Former Councilman Named To Raffensperger's Transition Team
SANDY SPRINGS, GA — Secretary of State-elect Brad Raffensperger has released the names of the men and women who will lead his transition team.
“We need to build on Georgia’s successes of the past few years,” said Raffensperger. “This team will help us to get the process going of continuing to improve the services we deliver from the Secretary of State’s office. A priority is to build confidence in our voting systems moving forward.”
Jordan Fuchs, Raffensperger's former campaign manager, has been chosen as the transition director. Collectively, the team brings "broad and varied" experience to help Raffensperger provide a clear plan on the areas that fall under the office's control.
“I look forward to engaging with my team in the coming weeks, and I’m confident our efforts will help hardworking Georgians across our great state,” Raffensperger said Monday.

Transition Director
Jordan Fuchs served as the campaign manager for Secretary of State-elect Raffensperger and as Vice President of Landmark Communications, a leading political consulting and public relations firm based in Alpharetta. Prior to joining Landmark, Fuchs worked in Washington, D.C. in the Congress and U.S. Foreign Policy Program with the Council on Foreign Relations and on Capitol Hill in the office of U.S. Representative Rob Woodall.
Transition Board
Mike Bodker has served as the mayor of Johns Creek since its incorporation in 2006. He has served in leadership roles in the Metro Atlanta Mayors Association, the Atlanta Regional Commission, and served as the 83rd president of the Georgia Municipal Association from 2015-2016. Bodker serves as a Vice Chair of the U.S. Conference of Mayors. He is currently a consultant advising large organizations on the strategic use of business technology solutions in his role as a partner at nexDimension Technology Solutions, LLC. Bodker has twin children, Jake and Keri. He is married to his wife, Lisa, and they have 2½ year old, Emma Kate.
Charles W. Buffington, Jr. is a consultant with Generis Partners, a firm that focuses on supporting and aiding faith-based organizations and churches. Prior to that, Buffington spent 25 years as a manager and executive with Bellsouth and AT&T, where he retired as vice president of business sales. His career in telecommunications included a three-year contract as advisor to the senior leadership of Telkom South Africa. He currently serves on the board of the Georgia United Methodist Foundation, Gammon Theological seminary, Mount Pisgah Christian School, and Emory Johns Creek Hospital. Charles and his wife, Minnie, have been married for more than 49 years, and have one son and four granddaughters.
Donna Sant is the chairman of the Houston County Republican Party. She has served in several volunteer capacities in Houston County. She was the Trump for President campaign office co-manager. Sant is also a graduate of the 2016 class of the Republican Leadership for Georgia program. She also serves on the Georgia Republican Party State Committee. She and her husband Erik, a retired Air Force pilot and current airline pilot, reside in Warner Robins. They have three children ages 23, 19, and 17.
Gabriel Sterling is president of SSH, Inc., a business and political consulting firm. He served on the Sandy Springs City Council where he was an advocate for neighborhoods and small businesses. He also was heavily involved in bringing Mercedes-Benz USA’s headquarters to Sandy Springs. Sterling has deep experience in public private partnerships and service delivery models. He currently serves as the vice chairman of the Sandy Springs Development Authority and serves on the board of directors of both the Sandy Springs Conservancy and Heritage Sandy Springs.
State. Rep. Sam Teasley has served in the Georgia House of Representatives for the last eight years. He served on key legislative committees including Banks & Banking; Education; Ethics; Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications; Insurance; and Ways & Means. During his time in the House, he was selected by his peers to lead the House Majority Caucus as its vice chairman. Professionally, Rep. Teasley is a Realtor and is affiliated with Atlanta Communities Real Estate Brokerage. Sam and his wife, Michelle, live in Cobb County and are the parents of three children.
