Former Eagles head coach Doug Pederson leaning towards taking a year off from coaching

The 2020 NFL season took a toll on a lot of people and with Doug Pederson and the Eagles parting ways, the veteran coach could take a sabbatical.

Despite having some interest from other organizations as a play-caller, Pederson told Les Bowen of The Inquirer that he’ll likely take the year off.

Pederson said by text Tuesday night that he is “leaning toward taking the next year off and preparing for [the] next season.”

Pederson had been to the playoffs in 3 of the last 4 years and he brought the franchise its only Super Bowl back in 2017.
