Former energy minister charged over contracts favoring exiled oligarch Firtash

Nasalyk is suspected of signing unprofitable gas customs clearance agreements in favor of oligarch Dmytro Firtash worth UAH 1.5 billion ($40.6 million).

In November 2020, the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine closed the case of false information in the declarations of former energy minister Nasalyk.

Nasalyk was accused of omitting a financial liability of $1.2 million in his declaration. He did not indicate it from 2015 to 2018. Moreover, in 2022, law enforcement officers found that the former minister had failed to indicate UAH 29 million ($785,000) in his declaration.

The investigation in this case ended in August 2019.
