Former Girard, Prep administrator named acting assistant superintendent in Millcreek

A new administrator will begin duties in the Millcreek Township School District on Monday.

Trevor Murnock, most recently an administrator in the Girard School District, was hired as acting assistant superintendent by the Millcreek Township School Board on July 25 for a term not to exceed one year.

"The Millcreek Township School Board has determined that the acting assistant superintendent will provide stability and insure the Millcreek Township School District continues to proceed forward to achieve its goals," school directors said in the motion to hire Murnock.

The district's former assistant superintendent, Darcie Moseley, died May 3 after a brief illness. She had been assistant superintendent since 2013.

Murnock previously was assistant principal, principal and curriculum director at Erie's Cathedral Preparatory School.

His salary as Millcreek acting assistant superintendent will be $130,000.
