Former Glee star Becca Tobin is a mum!

The star – who played Kitty Wilde on the show – announced the exciting news on Instagram on February 22 when she shared a photo of her husband Zach Martin exiting the hospital with their new bundle of joy in a car seat.

The newborn wasn't visible in the snap, but one thing the actress did give us was his adorable name. She began her caption by writing, "Welcome to the world, Ford" alongside a blue heart, before then sharing his full name.

"Rutherford 'Ford' Thomas Martin is here and life is already so much sweeter. It took him five years to get here, but it’s been worth every minute," she continued.

Becca also confirmed that Ford was born via surrogate, who she thanked "for bringing him here safely surrounded by so much love".

Plenty of the star's fellow Glee castmates shared their congratulations in the comments section, including Artie Abrams actor Kevin McHale who wrote: "Love you all soooo much, congratulations." Rachel Berry star Lea Michele also sent love, commenting: "Love you Ford!" with a red heart.

Jacob Artist, aka Jake Puckerman, also shared some praise, commenting with a family and red heart emoji, while Tina Cohen Chang star Jenna Ushkowitz shared a slew of hearts and crying faces, writing: "congrats you guys."

The Glee cast is having somewhat of a baby boom right now. Jenna confirmed she's pregnant with her first child in January, while Darren Criss revealed back in October that he was also set to become a first-time parent.

Becca has been open about her difficult road to parenthood and experiencing two miscarriages, telling People in 2020: "There's thousands and millions of women going through this. I felt like it's a disservice to not really put everything out there when our whole brand is about talking about what's happening in your life, the ups and the downs."

The star, who has been open about her experiences with IVF, continued of why she made her struggles so public: "I couldn't be like, 'Yay, my life is perfect.' I just felt like, no, that's not the truth.

"That's never the truth for anybody. We all have highs and lows. And that was why I felt like I needed to talk about it."

Glee is available to watch on Netflix.
