Former Great Falls High star Drew Wyman named NAIA All-American

KANSAS CITY, Missouri – College of Idaho sophomore Drew Wyman (Great Falls, Montana) was named a second-team All-American by the NAIA on Tuesday.Wyman and the College of Idaho men's basketball team recently won the 2022-23 NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship in Kansas City. He played and started all 37 games for College of Idaho where he averaged 11.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game.Wyman is the fifth second-team All-American in program history and the first since Demetrius Perkins in 2014-15. It is the 37th All-American citation in program history and 32nd different student-athlete to secure a national honor.As a team, Wyman and the Yotes ended the season on a school record 36-game winning streak and set other program records for wins (36), points scored (3,192), field goals made (1,195), field goals attempted (2,395), scoring margin (22.6), and tied the school record for scoring defense (63.3 ppg). To go along with the national championship, College of Idaho was the regular season and the tournament champion in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.Earlier this year, Wyman was named a College Sports Communicators Academic All-American and selected first team all-Cascade Collegiate Conference for a second-straight year.
