Former Hollyoaks star Jude Monk McGowan announces his engagement

Former Hollyoaks star Jude Monk McGowan has announced his engagement to partner Jessica Hern.
Taking to Instagram to share the news with fans, McGowan posted a selfie of the pair posing with Hern's new engagement ring front and centre, and the adorable caption:
"Only you, always. You who has taught me what loving and true partnership really means."
The actor seemingly popped the question on Kamari Beach; a location in Greece on the east coast of Santorini island.

The newly engaged Hern shared a similar series of snaps to her own Instagram page, with the cheeky caption: "Anyone know how to plan a wedding?"
Family and friends rushed to send their congratulations to the couple in the comments of each post.
Fellow former Hollyoaks stars also celebrated the news. David Tag wrote: "Congratulations mate!" while Daisy Wood Davis added: "That ring... so happy for you guys, beautiful couple xxxx"
On Hern's post, Amy Conachan commented: "Awww I’m so so delighted by this! How gorgeous! Congratulations."

McGowan played the role of bad boy Liam Donovan in the long-running soap from 2018-2020. The character was caught up in various plots including murder, blackmail and even a hostage situation.
Although Liam is no longer in the village, there's still plenty of drama to go around.
After the death of Rayne Royce at a recent pool party, everyone's a suspect – including Owen Warner's Romeo Nightingale.
Elsewhere, Goldie McQueen has made a shocking discovery about newcomer Carter Shepherd.
From Monday, September 25, Hollyoaks will stream first online via Channel 4 each weekday. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
