Former Home and Away star Penny McNamee has made her return to the soap, but not as her character Tori Morgan.
Taking to Instagram, the actor posted a picture of the end credits of Home and Away, revealing to everyone that she has returned to the show, this time as a writer.
“PLoTwiST! Different place in the credits - same legendary team,” she wrote in her caption.

“I’m a little overwhelmed by all the encouragement and love. Thank you wonderful humans.” Penny added in the comments.
At this time, it is unclear whether this was just a one off thing or whether she will be writing for the soap regularly. It is also unclear if she’ll make her return to the soap as Tori.
Penny left the show in 2021 when her character Tori married Christian Green and they both end up leaving the Bay, with Tori moving to the UK to work in a hospital.
She posted a tribute to her Instagram at the time, thanking fans for their support and the cast and crew for all their hard work and welcoming environment.

"After 5 amazing years, the time has come for me to say goodbye to Tori Morgan and Summer Bay," she wrote. "I feel incredibly grateful for my time at Home and Away and I would like to thank many people for making it possible."
“Thank you to our outstanding and warm-hearted cast (past and present) crew, writers, publicists and production team, for your warmth, your humour and your friendship,” the star continued.
“To the incredible fans, who have supported me, showering me with encouragement and hilarious photos-edits. I have read all of your letters and comments and I appreciate every single one."
Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 and streams on 7plus.
