1. CP's Liquor, located at 12568 Broadway St., Ste. 180, Pearland, will celebrate its one-year anniversary on Tuesday, April 12. The local package store will be hosting tastings, raffle giveaways and other prizes from April 8 to April 9 in celebration. (Community Impact Newspaper)

2. The former chief operating officer of Houston Independent School District, Brian Busy, is now facing new tax charges in relation to a bribery scheme committed last year, U.S. Attorney Jennifer B. Lowery announced on Thursday. On December 14, 43-year-old Busby and 60-year-old HISD contract vendor Anthony Hutchison were both arrested and charged in connection to a bribery scheme. 3. Volunteers from Houston are packing their suitcases full of medical supplies and preparing to leave for Ukraine today. The team of four people is being sent by CrowdSource Rescue, a non-profit that started during Hurricane Harvey by providing citizen rescues when 911 was overwhelmed. (KHOU 11)

4. A fourth search warrant made public Thursday provides more details into the evidence law enforcement is seizing as part of an investigation to how a nearly $11 million COVID-19 outreach contract was awarded to a small Houston-based firm. The new warrant demands Google turn over documents accessed by Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo and six other senior staffers. (ABC 13)

5. Another Houston neighborhood in Cinco Ranch Community has been hit with a string of racist flyers, one of several incidents seen in the past few weeks. The Anti-Defamation League says it has pinned these flyers to two different white supremacy organizations, and that many times the groups will use media coverage and social media buzz to promote and raise money.
