Former Knoxville standout to be inducted into Nebraska-Kearney HOF

Jul. 22—KEARNEY, Neb. — Former Knoxville basketball standout Kalee (Modlin) O'Connor will be among one of five former student-athletes inducted into the University of Nebraska at Kearney Athletic Hall of Fame this year.

O'Connor starred on the UNK women's basketball team between 2003-06. The Knoxville native was a rare four-time All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference pick, a two-time all-region selection and a 2004 honorable mention All-American. The post player is one of seven Lopers to have been named a Division II All-American.

At Knoxville, O'Connor was a two-time all-state selection making second team in 2001 and 2002.

The ceremony will be during homecoming weekend on Oct. 8-9 in Kearney, Nebraska.
