From Car and Driver

  • Someone on Reddit pointed out that a car that seems awfully similar to our long-term Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is for sale at a dealership near our HQ in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

  • We checked the VIN and it's a match to the car that we spent 40,000 miles with, now for sale, priced at $41,500, at LaFontaine Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Saline, Michigan.

  • It's not surprising for a long-term tester to resurface in the used-car market. We found another one, a Mazda 2, at a Chicago dealership several years ago.

Looking to get your hands on a gorgeous 505-hp Italian sports sedan at a steep discount? There's a 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio in Michigan with your name on it, for sale for the low, low price of just $41,500. But here's the thing: we here at C/D had our hands on it first, so we recommend you read our review first.

Yep, it's none other than the exact 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio that just finished a 40,000-mile long-term test in our care. We completed our (somewhat problematic) test a few months ago, handed the keys back to FCA, and thought that would be the last we heard of the car. But an eagle-eyed Reddit user found the used-car listing at a dealership in Saline, Michigan, just a few miles away from our office. Indeed, the VIN matches our test car's.

There's a Carfax report included with the dealership ad, but it doesn't seem to show the car's complete maintenance history—our wrap-up review can provide all the details, if you're interested (spoiler alert: it's not pretty). At least the price itself is pretty compelling, being just about exactly 50 percent of the car's as-tested price of $79,595.
