GYMGUYZ utilizes a fleet of bright red, branded vehicles to bring the personal trainer, equipment, and workouts right to customers' doors.

The new GYMGUYZ location is owned by the Perrys, who will celebrate a grand opening in the near future.

Loni Perry earned her degree in childhood education from Ohio State University and has worked in the health and wellness industry as a personal trainer. She homeschools her children and is involved in assisting underserved members of her community.

Mark Perry is a U.S. Air Force veteran who began his military career in 1997. He underwent several deployments in the Middle East. He also assumed the role of first sergeant, tasked with helping military members pass their fitness tests to ensure readiness for duty.

He transitioned to an operations superintendent role in the Air Force Reserves. He is still an active military member.

J. Mark Perry, no stranger to giving hugs, retired from the Mansfield Police Department with almost 17 years service. In 2023, he was the one receiving hugs from everyone in Mansfield Council Chambers for a job well done and his compassion for others.

He also served as a police officer for nearly 17 years, progressing to become a detective and a member of the hostage negotiation team, with a focus on de-escalating crises. Perry sometimes provided financial support to victims and connected them with Loni Perry for additional support.

Mark Perry dedicates much of his attention to aiding victims of crisis as a victim advocate for the 179th Cyberspace Wing.

“We’ve both always had a passion for health and wellness and helping people,” Mark Perry said.

“We decided to bring a GYMGUYZ to the Canton and Mansfield community because GYMGUYZ aligns with our core values and matched well with our passion for overall health. We were drawn to GYMGUYZ because we understand how important people's time is. The fact that we can bring a workout anywhere is what made the concept stand out to us. We want people to be healthy enough to be around for their children and grandchildren and this new location gives us the opportunity to do so,” Loni Perry said.

GYMGUYZ uses a variety of customized fitness programs, including strength training, cardio fitness, sports conditioning, group fitness, weight loss and toning, senior fitness, youth and teen fitness, assisted stretch and nutrition counseling to help people try to reach their health goals. Certified personal trainers are experts in using GYMGUYZ methodologies, and they employ various techniques and tools to ensure that no two workouts are the same. GYMGUYZ has no contracts or monthly fees and the first session is free.

GYMGUYZ serves more than 1,000 cities in three countries. Mark Perry said he and Loni will travel throughout Richland County and northcentral Ohio.
