Former Memphis football standout Gabe Kuhn named host of 92.9 FM ESPN's 4-7 p.m. radio slot

Former Memphis football offensive lineman Gabe Kuhn was named the new late afternoon host for 92.9 FM ESPN, the station announced Wednesday.

Kuhn, a St. Louis native, will host from 4-7 p.m. and take over Gary Parrish's slot after the longtime host left the station in December to join Grind City Media. Kuhn previously was the co-host on Sports 56's 3-6 p.m. radio show with Brett Norsworthy for the past 16 months and spent four years working at the station in various capacities.

Kuhn announced on Twitter that new show will begin Monday. His last day with Sports 56 was last Friday.

Kuhn started 51 games at Memphis from 2014-17, which at the time was a program record for a offensive lineman. He started all 13 games in 2017 as the Tigers reached the AAC championship game and played in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.

Kuhn also was part of the Tigers' 15-game winning streak from 2014-15, the longest in school history.
