Former Neighbours actress Zima Anderson suffered a fall on yesterday's (October 24) episode of SAS Australia.

Probably best known for portraying the character Roxy Willis between 2019 and 2022, right before the accident Anderson was stood high above the ocean on a platform, which she'd been tasked with leaping into.

However, she slipped and crashed down onto a concrete slab, with viewers able to hear her cries of discomfort as chief instructor Ant Middleton rushed over to support her head.

"This doesn't matter anymore. The exercise doesn't matter," Middleton assured Anderson as ambulance sirens played out nearby. "That doesn't matter. You matter."

Arriving at the scene, medical crew handed Anderson a green whistle (also known as Penthrox) to treat her pain.

"I swear I was gonna be a good SAS recruit," she declared in a daze, as those surrounding her insisted: "You are! You are a good SAS recruit!"

The challenge was subsequently shelved as the soap star got carried away on a stretcher and transported to hospital. She later withdrew from the reality show on medical grounds, having fractured both her right elbow and wrist upon impact.

Reacting to this trauma, Middleton explained that the SAS Australia tasks are designed to be "as real as possible" and that out in the real world, "accidents happen all the time".

He added: "We have to make sure that you can deal with those risks and that when it comes to real-life training, you are capable and aware of having your own life in your hands."

Anderson offered an update on her Instagram account on October 23, sharing a photo of herself with her arm in a sling while smiling with her co-stars.

"I could not be more grateful to have heard the stories of and been bossed around by these legends. Honestly could not thank you all more for this experience, all your words and encouragement," she wrote in part in the caption. The star also thanked her co-stars and the doctors who helped her after her accident.

"And thank GOD i didnt break my spine," she added. "Number 2 over and outt."
