- Authorities in South Carolina say a former NFL player is responsible for a mass shooting that left 5 people dead and another wounded. They say 33-year-old Phillip Adams carried out the shooting Wednesday at the Rock Hill home of Dr. Robert Leslie. The doctor, his wife, two grandchildren, and another man were killed. The sixth victim is now hospitalized with serious gunshot wounds. Police say after the shooting, Adams fled to his parents' home nearby, where he later killed himself
KEVIN TOLSON: At around 2:30 AM, we confirmed that Mr. Adams-- Mr. Phillip Adams, that the suspect was deceased in a bedroom in the home. There's nothing about this right now that makes sense to any of us. Phillip Adams played six NFL seasons for different teams, including the Jets and Patriots. Right now, police have no motive for the shootings.
