Training program is for recreational and school teams

Driver, a member of the Packers Hall of Fame and the franchise's all-time leading receiver, was on the Packers 2010 Super Bowl championship team. He also appeared on the "Dancing with the Stars" television show.

“After spending time at the campus at the end of this past year, I knew I wanted to deepen this relationship between Driven Elite and the Hall of Fame Village," Driver said in a prepared statement. "I’m excited about this opportunity to bring our unique brand of championship-level performance training and facilities to Canton, a city known for legendary champions."

"The program’s focus will be on improving performance and fitness levels for participants of all ages and in an array of sports," the release said.

Youth performance training will include youth league, elementary, middle school and high school participants. "Adult training will be for all fitness levels, from the weekend warrior and general overall fitness and/or strength improvement, to college and professional players and elite amateur athletes," the Village said.

The football-themed Village campus also includes Play-Action Plaza, which provides space for outdoor events and includes a zipline called "The Forward Pass," as well as a Ferris wheel-style ride.

Construction also started late last year on a 147,000-square-foot indoor water park at the Hall of Fame Village that will feature high-thrill rides, football-themed decor, swim-up bars and giant television screens. The water park project totals around $117 million, according to Village officials.

The water park will be next to a 180-room Hilton Tapestry hotel that will be separate but connected.
